About the Author

Myron A. Levine is Professor in the Department of Urban Affairs and Geography at Wright State University, USA. In addition to authoring Urban Politics, Dr. Levine is the editor of two volumes, Annual Editions: Urban Society and Taking Sides: Urban Affairs. His writings have appeared in various journals, including the Urban Affairs Review and the Journal of Urban Affairs. His research focuses on national urban policy, urban revitalization, and efforts at regionalism and local government collaboration. He has received NEH and NSF awards to study and teach in France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Latvia.

About the Author

Virginia Braun is an Associate Professor in the School of Psychology at The University of Auckland, Auckland, Aotearoa/New Zealand. She is a feminist and critical psychologist whose research explores the intersecting areas of gender, bodies, sex//sexuality and health. She has worked on projects related to heterosex, sexual health, cervical cancer prevention policy, sexuality and higher education, women's genital meanings and experiences, and female genital cosmetic surgery, and is current involved in a Marsden-funded project related to pornography (with Nicola Gavey & Linda Tyler; University of Auckland). She is also interested in the intersections between academic work and activism, and is involved in The New View Campaign's work around female genital cosmetic surgery. She has an ongoing interest in qualitative research and, with Victoria Clarke, developed a theoretically-flexible approach to thematic analysis. She is currently editor (with Nicola Gavey) of the journal Feminism & Psychology (Sage, UK).

David Ives’s plays include two evenings of one-act comedies, All in the Timing (win­ner of the Outer Critics Circle Award) and Time Flies, as well as New Jerusalem: The Interrogation of Baruch de Spinoza; Is He Dead? (adapted from Mark Twain); Irving Berlin’s White Christmas; Polish Joke; and Ancient History.
